What 4 Other Elements Can Be Part Of A Report?

The preparation of study reports within Market Research is an activity full of possibilities. This is because with the passage of time and the emergence of new techniques and methodologies, traditional reports that we could conceive of as mere print bindings and that apparently look similar to a book or notebook today can have a multitude of forms and presentations.

Last week we listed four elements that can be considered the most classic in practice. However, today we want to focus on those documents that gather the results of a project that are not so common and that have begun to gain importance in recent years. For this reason, we list four more elements that can be part of a market study report today.

Diagrams. These are geometric representations that are often used to outline a series of ideas or a set of consecutive steps that would otherwise require a greater number of resources. There are different kinds of these. The type that is chosen will depend on the objectives that each analyst pursues when capturing the results of each investigation.

Videos. They are part of the multimedia content. In our blog post last week we mentioned the photographs that are part of this group. In particular cases such as those that include the development of focus groups, it will be necessary to collect testimonials that attest to the celebration of these activities and allow subsequent analysis of factors such as body language or paraphrasing of topics.

Databases. In some cases, the documents that collect the conclusions of an investigation may include annexes that contain some data that must imperatively be part of the final report, since otherwise some results could be read out of context. Adding them facilitates quick consultation and is considered only for those data that are worth reviewing soon without resorting to other external resources.

Prototypes. The elaboration of these elements are designed and manufactured for investigations such as those that evaluate uses and habits. They are also considered when creating reports where market analysts collaborate with designers and communicators and that it is necessary to capture in a product or packaging model the suggestions that decision makers should visualize.

In our blog entries, rather than pursuing the objective of making an exhaustive list of all the elements that can be part of market research reports, we want to briefly review those that are most common in our industry and that, based on in our experience they are more likely to meet the needs of many people.
